Forty years after The King of Rock N Roll’s death, Elvis Presley’s music and influence are still heavily felt. The hansom, brooding man with his guitar who presented Rock music to young masses, is one of America’s most iconic images.
In new documentary The King filmmaker Eugene Jarecki rides across America in a Rolls Royce, owned by Elvis himself. He interviews people from now, and back then who take different views of The Kings work. The film also parallels the rise and fall of Presley to current America.
Featuring interviews from everyday American’s to famous faces such as Alec Baldwin, Lana Del Rey, Rosanne Cash, Ethan Hawk, Mike Myers and more.
The King hits UK cinema August 24th.
